INGREDIENTS
  • Melt the butter in a heavy based frying pan, saute the onions in the butter over a medium-low heat until they are soft and caramelised, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar and cook stirring until the sugar dissolves. Set aside.
  • Prepare the hot dog following instructions on the packet. Split the buns down the centre and warm through in an oven 340 F for 10 minutes.
  • To serve, spread the mustard in the buns, place the hotdogs in the centre, dress with some caramelised onions, more mustard, to taste and some rocket leaves.
